Solid Shade Structure at Maningrida College

Scope: Design and construction of a solid shade structure over existing pathways.
Project Supervisor: Michael Stedman.
Details of Project Team: Local Indigenous employees supported by SCE’s experienced tradespeople.
Success: Delivered on time and within budget. Received positive feedback during debriefing for quality outcomes and community engagement.

Basketball Court with Overhead Structure

Scope: Complete construction and total management of a basketball court with an overhead structure for the West Arnhem Regional Council.
Details of Project Team: Entirely constructed and managed by SCE’s in-house team of skilled tradespeople and local indigenous employees.
Success: Delivered on time and within budget in 2021. The project was praised for its quality workmanship and its role in enhancing community infrastructure.
Challenges Addressed: Coordinated site logistics in a remote community and ensured local engagement, with 40% Indigenous workforce participation.

Maningrida Changerooms and Toilet Block Extension

Scope: Construction of changerooms and extensions to a toilet block valued at over $4 million.
Project Supervisor: Michael Stedman.
Details of Project Team: Primarily SCE in house trades people and local indigenous trade assistants, managed by SCE’s project coordinators and supervisors.
Progress to Date: All slabs have been laid, walls constructed, and 80% core-filled. The project is progressing on schedule with zero WHS incidents.

Capability Statement - Stedmans Construc

Roof Replacement

Maningrida Church: removal of existing roof sheets and removal of damaged battens, install of new steel battens and full re sheet of roof, flashing, ridge vent and final screw off.

Art Centre

Maningrida Art Centre: setting up of pad, layout and install of footings and concrete slab, full fabrication of steel work, roof and all flashing works, final fit out.
